Pilates strengthens the core muscles that stabilise the spine, heightens body awareness, increases flexibility and control, improves posture and balance and ease of movement through daily activities.
It can help in the prevention and rehabilitation of wide ranging injuries.
The APPI method is designed by physiotherapists and is a step by step program. Each exercise has 5 stages and patients progress along the pathway at a speed that is relevant for them.
It can help take a patient from injury to fully fit, functional and efficient state.
The 5 stage model is the key to success of the method being achievable for all ages and levels of ability.
